About me

For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.

V. Frankl

My name is Igor Peterlik. I am a researcher in applied mathematics, physics and computer science.

I spent more than 10 years at research institutes and universities in Canada, France and Czech Republic.

In 2016, I obtained a tenured research position at Inria, a French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology.

Since 2019, I am senior research scientist at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company where I am bringing the radiation therapy to the next level to create a world without fear of cancer.

I am also an active musician: I served as organist in several churches in Canada and France and currently, I regularly play in the Zurich metropolitan area.
